eneloop - The only battery you will ever need
What is eneloop ?SANYO

Saves Cost

Savings on the long run

As with many modern ecological products the personal savings for the consumer are not with the initial purchase, instead the savings are on the life-time usage.

Consider a price for a typical alkaline disposable battery.

Well the price you have to pay for an eneloop is higher. Additionally you have to purchase a charger at least once.

However you have to consider the lifetime of both batteries and the number of batteries you will need over a period of let´s say 10 years.

Of course the calculation depends very much on the kind of application where you use your battery. In your digital camera or MP3-player or digital game, a typical disposable battery may be used-up in a few days, while in a remote control for your TV-set the battery may last a year or two.

Statistics may help. A typical European Consumer  purchases 10 -  15 disposable batteries per year. Let´s assume for a moment that is you.

This means you will purchase between 100 to 150 batteries during the coming 10 years. Keep the total price for all these batteries in mind.

Now let´s assume you would purchase 15 eneloops today.

With reasonable and proper treatment they will most likely last for 10 years.

Imagine that you can re-use one single eneloop up to 1000 times. (Just for comparison :  10 years have 3652 days)

Now let´s compare the cost for 15 eneloops plus one charger with the price for 150 disposable batteries.  Well ...

eneloop - the only battery you will ever need.
