Junior Soccer Team

Some months ago the PR-department of SANYO Component Europe received a letter from a local sports club asking for the possibility to sponsor one of their soccer teams. Especially for the young amateur teams the expenses for tricots are a well known problem to all parents.
After short consideration we decided to support these young goal-getters and we provided eneloop-tricots to the team. 

The team is so-called "U11 Junior Team" of the BSG Taufkirchen a sporting club nearby Munich. In this team children in the age of nine to eleven make their fist steps towards a career in soccer.  Two times per week they have their training under the supervision of their trainers Dirk Gajcar and Alf Eltzholz.
 

The eneloop editors spoke to the club management.

"Of course it is a great motivation for our children and the trainer, if the team receives new tricots. Everyone is keen to show himself in the new tricots in the next game to his parents, grand parents and relatives. The boys received the new tricots with great delight especially after having plaid so many times in old tricots. Unfortunately the sport club has no possibility to provide new tricots to all teams in reasonable intervals. Therefore the BSG Taufkirchen is very thankful for every new sponsor, who invests in the work of the Junior-department. Last but not least we want to present our teams professional to the audience.

For the children in this age, it is more the fun of playing soccer, which motivates them, rather than actually winning a game.  Of course winning a game is appreciated and celebrated, but more important is, that the children participate in sporting activities and get motivated for the personal development.
